DIWA 2023 FAQs

  • Will entries in English be accepted?

The contest will only accept entries written using Philippine native languages and entries in English will not be accepted. Philippine native languages include but are not limited to Filipino and other regional languages such as Bicolano, Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Kapampangan, Pangasinense, Tagalog, and Waray.

 

  • Will I be allowed to resubmit my entry if I notice errors?

You will not be allowed to revise your entry once submitted. However, the organizers may allow participants under the following special cases to resubmit: 

  • Corrupted or unreadable files 

  • Problems with file resolution

  • Other cases determined by the organizers 

 

  • Am I allowed to have a coach? 

Yes. You may have a coach from or outside your school. No registration for your coach is required. Your coach may also request a certificate for coaching at the end of the contest. 

 

  • What will happen if my work is found to be plagiarized?

Participants with plagiarized entries will be disqualified from the contest.

 

  • Is it ok to have a similar/same topic with other participants? 

Yes. Participants may consult their topic with the contest team to improve the scope and adherence to the theme of their topic.

 

  • Is there a participant limit per school? 

None. Schools may have as many entries and participants as they can.

 

  • Am I allowed to use templates from sites like Canva? 

Yes, but be creative. Participants are encouraged to maximize the capabilities of the programs and applications they will use in creating their infographics

 

  • Am I allowed to recycle my entry or topic from DIWA 2021/2022?

No. Only original and new entries will be accepted.

 

  • Can I ask help from the DIWA team for my topic? 

Yes but please refer first to the mechanics and guidelines before consulting.
