For the 10th installment of the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 (𝐍𝐆𝐂), the UP Geological Society invites all geoscience students and enthusiasts to this year’s 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 (𝐆𝐒𝐅)!

It may not be common knowledge, but the use of renewable energy already existed 2000 years ago. With the advancement of technology in the modern day, renewable energy is utilized widely across the globe as a sophisticated countermeasure to using fossil fuels. In the Philippines, it is reported that over 47.5% of the country’s energy use comes from renewable energy sources.

GSF aims to provide a platform for discussion among different sectors of renewable energy in the Philippines with its theme,‘𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬: 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲’. This event is FREE and is open to everyone.

Join us this coming April 29, 2023 (Saturday), 1:00 - 4:00 PM via Zoom and Facebook livestream as we listen and learn from notable speakers across different energy sectors, from geothermal, nuclear, and other emerging renewable energy sources.

Through this forum, you will also get the opportunity to engage with and meet students from other universities. For those interested, you may register here: https://tinyurl.com/10NGCGSF.
