Transforming Terrains: Advancing Geosciences toward Sustainable Energy


For the 10th installment of the ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐†๐ž๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ (๐๐†๐‚), the UP Geological Society invites all geoscience students and enthusiasts to this yearโ€™s ๐†๐ž๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐…๐จ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฆ (๐†๐’๐…)!


It may not be common knowledge, but the use of renewable energy already existed 2000 years ago. With the advancement of technology in the modern day, renewable energy is utilized widely across the globe as a sophisticated countermeasure to using fossil fuels. In the Philippines, it is reported that over 47.5% of the countryโ€™s energy use comes from renewable energy sources.


GSF aims to provide a platform for discussion among different sectors of renewable energy in the Philippines with its theme,โ€˜๐“๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ฌ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐“๐ž๐ซ๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ง๐ฌ: ๐€๐๐ฏ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐†๐ž๐จ๐ฌ๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ ๐’๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ง๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐„๐ง๐ž๐ซ๐ ๐ฒโ€™. This event is FREE and is open to everyone.
